Job Description
As the Director of Growth at Checkmate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement and brand awareness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise to craft compelling narratives that resonate with our target audience. Responsibilities 🌟
- User Acquisition and Retention: Drive user acquisition through targeted campaigns while developing and optimizing retention strategies to increase customer lifetime value.
- We largely drive installs from short form video content (TikTok, Instagram etc). This people will have a strong content creation background and look to unify and expand our efforts here.
- Analytics and Performance Metrics: Utilize data-driven insights to measure and optimize the performance of marketing campaigns, ensuring a positive return on investment.
- We are extremely analytical and we need you to have the hard skills to set up attribution software and effectively track and make decisions on what is working/not working
- Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Checkmate's business goals, leveraging various channels such as social media, email, influencers, and partnerships.
- Performance marketing, organic content and lifecycle (email, push, sms) are currently our core pillars. We need those to be taken to the next level and find our next 10x growth levers
- Brand Positioning: Define and enhance the Checkmate brand through compelling storytelling and messaging that resonates with our Gen Z audience. We want to be a vibe so this role will be key to unify our marketing across our channels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product, sales, and tech teams to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives and product development.
- Innovation and Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, bringing innovative ideas to the table to keep Checkmate at the forefront of the market.
We are a startup. This role is a truly a grind/hustle role where you will have the autonomy to set the growth marketing direction but will need to roll up yourselves and implement that strategy start to finish. We are a lean team where you will need to be scrappy with limited resources to grow Checkmate to multi-millions of users.
