The future of online shopping is here! Checkmate is looking for our first PM that is product driven to own the lifecycle of our customers from understanding consumer habits, turning those into product iterations and ultimately telling that story to reach users.

Our ideal candidate is versed in engineering with a keen eye for design and most importantly lives and breathes the customer journey. They will be working across all teams; engineering, design, marketing and partnerships to help shape the future of Checkmate.

This is a full-time USA-based position.

Checkmate is ultimately focused on enhancing the shopping experience and bringing savings back to online shopping.

🌟Responsibilities

• This a product lead role where you ruthlessly want to understand our customer and design products that they love
• Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements, specs and marketing insights as well as actionable product updates and strategy.
• Translate customer insights to help shape the product vision and design.
• Turn insights and feedback into actionable product, marketing and design changes.
• Create and manage user research surveys, feedback sessions and analysis to gain product and market insights.
  • Coordinate beta tests with our student ambassadors and other testing groups and help run those groups.
  • Coordinate focus groups with our power-users and identify product weaknesses.
  • Follow competitors and conduct capability analysis regularly.
• Run cohort analysis and general data analysis in tools such as Amplitude to better understand our user behavior and identify product weaknesses. Fix those weaknesses.
